Axl began playing piano and singing in the Pentecostal church choir at the age of 5 years. He had a very hard childhood, his biological father abused him and his adoptive father, who drank excessively, used it to their interests.
At 17 Axl discovered that the man she had always believed her father, L. Stephen Bailey, was actually his stepfather. After learning that Axl decides to change his surname Bailey by Rose (the name of his real father). He began to think about starting a group just when I was 17 and joined a band in Lafayette, singing, but I wanted to be a rock star.

In 1985 Hollywood Rose and another band called L.A. Guns were merged and gave rise to Guns N 'Roses, the band that made it a harder rock than the groups that prevailed at that time, and was controversial and rebellious, but also its sensitivity could transmit through their ballads. In just one year sealed their first contract with Geffen, released their first plate and began an unstoppable race to the summit of fame.

In 1991 Izzy Stradlin GN'R leaves and is replaced by Gilby Clarke. Then, Gilby Clarke launches his solo album. Izzy also releasing a solo album. In 1996 GN'R Slash decides to leave, a year later Duff and Matt also leave GN'R and sold the name Guns N 'Roses Axl Rose. Slash, later formed a new band Velvet Revolver.
